irc333 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Okay, lately, and I'm sure a lotof you guys might do this, ever make a date with a woman, and on the day of the date....do you call to let them know you're "on your way" to see if they answer or call you back? If not do you stay home? Or....do you just "make the date", show up at her house, and she is not at home....you just wasted gas money Do you find yourself calling JUST before picking up a woman for a date JUST in case she might stand you up?
january2010 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 On the other side, as a woman, I've received text messages in a similar vein. I always think that those texts are sent for information purposes and not because he's worried that he'll be stood up. *shrug*
carhill Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Once the date is set and confirmed, I don't follow-up. We're all adults. If they don't show up/aren't home, etc, I just move on to plan B. Being married taught me the value of plan B. Don't count on anyone (not in a malicious/bitter way but in a responsible adult way) and dispatch them with the appropriate emotional content, in this case like a black hole.
