I got a response from a guy whose online profile was very brief. One short paragraph. His photograph is very good looking. He's a lot younger. He mentions he's a doctor. I'm not sure why guys try to advertise their jobs. The right girl won't care so much about what you do so much as how you treat them. I had thanked him for his email but mentioned that he was long distance from me, since the city listed from him is 2-3 hours away. He then mentioned that there was a misunderstanding, that he owns a home there but lives in Atlanta.

Am I the only one that suspects this is a load of bs? Something doesn't smell right. I've never seen such a short profile. It almost feels similar to when 2 of the guys I've dated created fake profiles to friend me on FB. That's a totally separate question there.

Well, I guess my gut was right. When I told the guy I wasn't interested, he then said that he lived where I lived, but had a home in a city a few hours away. Then he said he was thinking of staying in my city permanently. Now he's talking about "moving" to my city permanently. The truth is, he doesn't live here. He is here often but he lives in the other city.

Why are guys such liars to try to get their foot in the door?

This would be a launch. As much as I hate that word.

Typically, how many girls would jump at the chance to date someone with an high income job, ie. lawyer, doctor, movie director. etc?

Girls being the operative word. Naive girls. Daphne is a grown woman. This twit had some nerve!

Full grown! :)

I'm so annoyed and want to call him out on it but I'm doing my best to be polite. But man I have a few choice words for him.

And paper, you're absolutely right. I think he thought his job would help a girl overlook his bs. I'm not such a girl. I've dated rich men before and I'd rather have a good guy that's a sweetheart than a jerk with money or a degree.
