No.

A friend of mine and her boyfriend didn't kiss until the 4th or 5th date. Not even a peck. They got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It's a nice story, but I think it's an exception, as opposed to the norm.

to answer your question- if the two dates were good and there is an exciting third coming up, then yea sure. but, fyi, not a good idea to wait this long.

and to your thread title- ha ! ...everything she says turns to jibber jabber whilst i'm sitting there undressing her with my eyes :lmao::love:

There are no rules. If she accepts another date then you have another opportunity. Don't get desperate all of the sudden. There's nothing to worry about. It's just dating.

Your title and the text of your post say two different things.

When you are into someone, you are vulnerable. You have unconsciously given that person the power to hurt you, reject you. When we are vulnerable, we are off balance, and exhibit nervousness. Much like some people feel when interviewing for a big job. In many ways dating is much like interviewing, for the job of partner, but I digress.......

With all the talk about second date, third date, kiss, sex, etc, I wonder how the human race has managed to procreate to this level of world population. Whatever happened back in my grandparent's days when many people waited till marriage to have sex? Oh that's right, they courted. They got to know each other's hearts and minds before they knew each other's bodies, they built attraction and romance.

Listening to the way people talk nowadays, I wonder how they ever made it? But then again that was back when the nuclear family still was the majority, divorce was much less common and family outings and Sunday brunches were traditions.

Still, I wonder how they did it?

Peace

I heard some good stuff but I have to say the above is true wisdom:) After 2 great dates I flipped into desperation mode and lost touch with... myself. But today, with the help of the above post, I just as easily flipped back into my own skin and gave myself the power back. I met a girlfriend and had Thanksgiving dinner with her Girlfriends and met this really cool chick and casually got her number. And what ever happens happens. The point of the story is, move forward, if I happen to go out with the 2 date no kiss girl again, great, if not, great also because I have no problem meeting other, maybe more available woman. These things I easily forget. Thanks Again:)

I used to be extremely nervous around someone I'm into, when I was younger. Now. Not so much. Might be because I'm focused on other things.

No kiss on the first date isn't a deal breaker.
