waynesworld Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Hello LoveShack! I'm new here and just recently back into the dating game, so I'm seeking wisdom and advice from all you dating gurus. I went out a blind date the other night. She and I got on well (at least I thought so). Towards the end of the date, as we were waiting for the cheque, I told her it had been very nice to meet her. She nodded and said, "Chemistry is a funny thing isn't it Wayne?" To me, this means she doesn't think we have any chemistry. I'm not the greatest at decoding womanspeak though, so I decided to try to find out: I asked her out again for next week. She said sure, and gave me her phone number. I was surprised, but mostly confused. Still am.
Tim The Enchanter Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 It's an ambiguous statement that could just as easily mean that she thought there was chemistry.
kiss_andmakeup Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 She agreed to go out with you again, correct? So let's not over analyze this ambiguous little tidbit. There's no way to know what she meant. Just enjoy your next date. :]
rebellion Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 i also think it could go either way. if the date went well, i'd figure she meant she was pleasantly surprised at the chemistry you guys had.
Author waynesworld Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Thanks for the responses. Yes, what she said is ambiguous and could mean anything - but isn't over-analyzing these things half the fun? Actually, probably not I guess I'll find out when I see her again.
