frenchgirl Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Let's say you're in a bar with a group of friends and acquaintances. At the end of the evening, you give everyone a friendly goodbye hug and this one guy/girl who you barely spoke to gives you this nice warm hug. What's your reaction?

I would probably assume he was feeling the love...ie, had a few drinks...if I knew for a fact that he had one or fewer drinks I would think he was being friendly. Some people are just like that. I meet people (men and women) all the time I would never hug if the decision were left up to me, but that give me huge warm hugs after meeting. Not that I have a problem with it, I'm just not a touchy-feely person.

Me and my friend were walking around campus and this girl my friend knew talked to us for a few minutes before she left for home and gave us both a hug before leaving. I had just met her and had never met her boyfriend (whom my friend also knew). I was a little taken aback but went with it anyway. Both she and her boyfriend are good friends of mine now and I now know that it's just part of her personality to randomly hug people she barely knows.
