She once loved me BUT I STUFFED UP, now it is all gone as she likes someone else..

Let me just give you a brief background.

 

Before i began my final senior schooling i promised myself that i will study hard and therefore love will not be a let down or a distraction or regret, if i don't get the result i want (meaning i wont be involved in liking anyone). However a girl had came along, she was like amazing. She loved me for 9-10months, she would do all these great things to get my attention like watching me play sports, talk whenever i can, tell me she has dreams abt me, memorise my time table (all of this is said by her and her friends, they even say she was obessed with me)

Obviously i did like her too (i actually liked her for a long time too) but didnt give much attention as i always remembered my primary goal.. (as in no valentines, no bday present and sometimes ignore.. but i still made time to talk to her all the time..)

Anyhow, i told her on the 9th month that i liked her, she was shocked with astonishment, but i told her i wont be online/taliing to you much cause we are now enduring our final examinations.. so therefore i rarely talked to her..

 

Now we reached the 12th month of the final examination, i went to her house immediately and asked her if she still liked me.. the answer was no.. and more depressingly, she liked someone elsee noww..who was always their for her when i wasn't..

 

I guess i am a fool for being too self centered about my needs and leaving the one i actually love to the side and now i pay the price..

 

Is their still a chance? what do i do now? is their anything i should say to her? is that guy maybe a rebound cause i wasn't there?

 

We only talked a little about this issue, she said she is really sorry. I said it is alright (but i'm not, now just hoping that i get another chance so i can give the attention and affection she deserves..) I now still talk to her as a friend.. but idk, she seems like she likes the other guy alot nows, so im stuffed.
