Ok I've been reading these threads about how women (or men) get involved/fall in love with someone who is married... and how do they walk from it, etc.?

The answer to that is, you just do. You walk away, no matter how bad you're feeling about it. And as someone else said, no more sex.

I also wanted to share that there is life after an affair for the other person.... Just tonight I was at the gym minding my own business, working out... when I spied a tall, older gentlemen (I like older men, as long as it's not another married one) who was pumping some iron, and let me tell you, I had to wipe the drool off of my face. He was HOT!! And DISTINGUISHED!! And BUILT!! (in a good way, not a "no-neck" way) And SEXY!! I wanted to just slide right up to him and bat my eyelashes. *swooon* I haven't lusted after anyone besides the ex-MM in a LONG time, but DAMN it was good just lookin' at this new man. Oh yeah, he had a shirt on that said ARMY. Maybe he's a badass too.:love:

I want DETAILS SF.....LOTS of details!!!!

You know, having another guy doesn't automatically cure the past.....but it sure is one hell of a destraction. I'm really proud of you for having moved on. It's one of those things that while you are going thru it, you really think you will never get passed it. However, you do....

Sounds like a winner! Please do tell...I can live vicariously through what you experience (the excitement is enthralling)

Wow! I thought my little thread was gonna die a quiet death somewhere, but I see it's come back to life!

Well, there isn't much to tell right now... He works out at my gym (obviously)... is older... I'm thinking he actually may be a little *too* old for me, because I've been eyeing him quite a lot lately, hehe, and he's got to be in his late 50s/early 60s. Well, my ex-MM was early 50's, but this guy seems older than that even. I'm wondering if I shouldn't just admire from afar. He IS hot for a guy his age, and obviously still active. I notice that he looks at me a lot, too. But then, that could be because he sees me looking at him! LOL!

I dunno, I'm just going to see if we ever strike up a conversation, I'm not maneuvering just yet! I want to find out exactly how old he is first, and then decide!

It does feel good to lust after someone else, though. Not that I don't still lust after my ex, I mean I obviously was/am turned on by him, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten into anything w/him, but I'm trying to "notice" other men, too. I do still talk to the ex, though. I haven't cut out contact completely, but honestly, I do feel like I have made some good headway lately.

I also keep thiking about my parents... They're getting on in years. I want them to be proud of me. I want one day to have a wedding with them there, and not some picture of them because I wasted too many years screwing around.

The ex-MM has told me a lot of stuff lately about his plans for the future, which he says still include me. But... I don't take him seriously. I want to, but I don't, and I don't let anything he says interfere with my building a future for myself, or with panting over other men. I mean, what's a vivacious girl to do? ;)

It's very fun to be attracted to someone new, exchanging flirtatious looks and so on...but please make sure he's not married!! I always found that most of the older men I was attracted to turned out to be married. No problem anymore - now that I'm old enough, I want younger men!! :p

Just make sure the groom is younger than dear old dad or that could be a little weird. :)
