You tell him you would want to be exclusive when sleeping together. He agrees. Now how do you know if he wants a relationship? I know being exclusive and being gf/bf are totally different levels or maybe I don't know but how can I know??????? Give me you best answer

He agrees. You are a fling. You are exclusive as far as you know. Why did he not say anything when you said you don't want a fling? How did this conversation transpire? He completely ignored the question?

When really i dont know about that part its the early stages. I just dont want it to come out wrong. veggirl- When he didnt say anything about the fling stuff i didnt probe until later i said i am not a hook up girl. Then i asked if that is what he wanted and he said "why would i ask you to do that when thats not what you want". this left me a little confused because he didn't say i want a relationship, gf, or anything else. I have been talking to him and he came on strong the past few times i talked to him. I know him pretty well, but i dont know him well enough to know what he wants. I know he agrees to exclusivity but he has not said anything else. I feel as though he doesn't want to reveal his feelings too soon. I know he is not sleeping with other people and he tells me about what he does and his day ect. i know between his job and the other stuff hes not hooking up. However i want a relationship and i dont know how to say it without sounding like i want him to run to an alter. I just want a bf/gf type of relationship that progresses. I'm afraid to jump in and find out its not what he wants but i dont want to come off strong or needy.
