chancellor Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I don't think I've mentioned this on the forum but I'm a full time student who also does sculptures as a hobby (and also to support for my tuition fees). I met this girl Clare (a friend of a friend of a friend) at an exhibit and she seemed genuinely interested in my work. A friend of mine came by and made a joke that my work is going to get me a lot of women (how untimely). I responded that I can't have a woman because I wouldn't be able to satisfy her, and I showed them my hands which are totally ravaged by scars, paint and dye and varnishes. Clare smiled and said said that my sculpture more than made up for it. When she left, she gave me a real hug, the kind I get from my girlfriend or from a good friend I haven't seen in a long while. Now the only way I have to reach her is facebook. Would you do it?
JohnnyBlaze Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Sure; why not? At worst, she says no and you lose a friend that you never had to begin with. At best, you get a new friend!
Zale Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Yeah, go for it. You clearly have a very similar passion.
Author chancellor Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Thanks for your replies. I was going to follow your suggestion but then my friend told me that his friend has been seeing her for a while. We are young and nobody's married. She seemed genuinely interested. Should I still do it?
welikeincrowds Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 We are young and nobody's married. She seemed genuinely interested. Should I still do it? Ehhhhhhhhh.... The only reason I wouldn't is because it would most likely be a waste of time and energy. Why bother when there are people out there who are really available? Still, I suppose her availability is her business. Yeah, sure, go for it. If she accepts, you should clarify that she's available to date at some point on the date.
