Hey all. This is my first post on here, so I appreciate you all taking the time out to read my issue. I'll try and be brief as I can.

I'm 22 years old. In my final year of uni/college/whatever you want to call it. About 3 months ago, I got dumped by my girlfriend. She is 19.

We'd only been going out for about 8 months, but I can honestly say that she is the first person I have ever been in Love with. It's nothing compared to some of the stories posted on here, but I was pretty cut up when, out of the blue, she announced that she wasn't 'in love' with me anymore.

After the breakup, I enforced about 2 months of NC. I was doing really well, but in a moment of weakness added her again on facebook and sent her a message. Nothing major came of this.

A few days after this, she was in her uni halls of residence alone (her flatmates were out partying) and a drunk flatmate comes back and tries to come onto her. She has to push him out of her room and lock the door.

She then attempts to call/text me several times... my phone had been stolen in a mugging a couple of nights previously, so I couldn't respond, bt bear in mind this is after 2 months of NC had just been broken, and I assumed she'd been moving on and having a great time at uni.

My question is this: why did she try and text/call ME? She has loads of girlfriends, and a mum who loves her and who she can tell everything. Why me?

I tried to keep it brief, but it you want more deets, let me know!

Any insights/ responses would be appreciated!

That's women for you mate, My ex of 3 years broke up with me 3 months ago, It's not easy, She shows me no emotion what so ever and never has in this past 3 months but every time someone has broken up with me in the past they've always come back sooner or later saying it was all an act and it seems to me like she'd been suffering a bit of stage fright, I'd talk to her about it and see if you can't sort things out, I'd kill for any form of contact from my ex even if it meant she didn't need me but only wanted to talk, Pounce on your opportunity my friend :)

A random thought entered her head and she pushed a button on a phone. Really nothing more than that. Often, we try to attach significance and meaning to such events where really there is none required. Think of it as a random electrical impulse which rang your phone. Poof, gone now.

Welcome to LS :)
