Cee Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I have a third date tomorrow and I want to go slow emotionally. I like him, but don't have romantic feelings yet. They possibly will take root as he's a great guy or they won't. Sexually, it's going at a nice slow pace. We had a brief kiss on the second date. I want to be respectful of him as he is showing signs of being really into me. Am I supposed to say something or do I simply let my actions speak for themselves? I'm rarely in this situation. Usually, I'm way into the guy and it takes him a while to warm up to me (or ditch me). Thanks.
Jannah Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Well, what is the main reason you wish to go slow at this juncture? I think that might help to identify first...
threebyfate Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Your actions should speak for themselves by not allowing him to go too far or getting into any situation where the two of you are alone in private places like your homes. If he starts to really push your boundaries in a non-respectful manner, time for the heave-ho. If he pushes your boundaries in a respectful manner but you're not ready for it, then have the talk about wanting to take it slowly.
