datura_noir
If I see these words one more time used by a WS or OP, I will seriously throw up!! I still lurk here and post ocassionally, but I have noticed this dreaded phrase A LOT lately... I say let's start a game. Anytime someone says "amazing connection" in their post, we start a thread about...oh, I don't know, lingerie??? Sex toys?? Any other ideas?? And are there any other infidelity related phrases that just make you roll your eyes?? Please share! This is intended in good humor, for those reading. And for all WS too! Lauriebell82
I don't agree with infidelity, I think it is wrong and immoral and hurts a lot of people. HOWEVER, making fun of them and belittling them is wrong and hurtful. I doubt a lot of people are going to think this is funny...
Author datura_noir
Well I am sorry if you cannot see the humor in making fun of PHRASES uttered by extremely misguided people, Laurie. Maybe you should just ignore this thread if it gives you icky feelings.
Dexter Morgan
If I see these words one more time used by a WS or OP, I will seriously throw up!! Its always an "amazing connection" until the newness wears off, and sex with the same person is no longer exciting.........and the next "amazing connection" comes along.
jennie-jennie
When I was 15, I met this boy I had an amazing connection with. And lo and behold, when I met him 31 years later the connection was even more amazing!
Woggle
I hate that phrase with a passion.
Author datura_noir
OK. JJ just posted a reply using the term, so one of must venture to post a a thread...I'm out, since I started it, so who's in??
Author datura_noir
I started this because of a game my sister and I play while watching "The batchelor". Anytime a contestant says "amazing connection", or "soulmate", or "Awesome family", we have to take a sip of our drink of choice. This thread is for fun people only.
Author datura_noir
Oh fine, I'll start... I have this great flannel night gown that was handed down to me from my Grandma. It is heavy flannel, and has a button up collar, and a rip under the left breast. My hubby hates it, but it is so comfy in the Winter. How can I make him see this gown as a turn-on? I agree, that's why I believe in serial monogamy. No use staying married once that love is gone. On to the next one.

Author datura_noir
Hey, my cat is like, so totally connected to me too-the problem is, she is also so connected to my husband-how can I break her connection to him and focus it all on MEEEE-without totally making her feel that it's all for her own good-not for me?? And my night gown-it's thin and worn in all the right places, he should know he has to explore those realms, darn it all! My Grandma was a smart woman! Why I think she made this gown threadbare in all the right places just for me!
wheelwright
I get that the idea of a soul connection sounds stupid. However, I'm the type of person who would remain at the least ambivalent until I had proof one way or another. Especially if I heard that from another human being and had not experienced it myself. I would be all questions. I would not be all judgement. Hey, I sound almost reasonable!
What_Next
How about "it was A mistake". Umm it wasn't A mistake, it was hundred's of mistakes!
wheelwright
How about "it was A mistake". Umm it wasn't A mistake, it was hundred's of mistakes! Maybe. Then again it was the right thing? How do we know? We don't, unless we listen to our soul. Because society's mistake doesn't mean it's a mistake. Plenty of history to show that.
whichwayisup
:lmao::lmao:Now that's funny!:lmao: It just popped into my head! But it is true, I do have a connection with my cat.

jennie-jennie
That's really sad, if the only strong connections you people have experienced are with your cats... No wonder you have trouble understanding true love.
NoLongerSad
"I knew it must be true love because he let me have oral sex with him in his pick up truck in the parking lot at lunchtime." Edited November 20, 2010 by a LoveShack.org Moderator
