Author phineas Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Are you sure you're in the right place to date? From other posts I've read from you, you didn't come across as someone who was this mean. But if it were me in either of this situations I'd write you off. Grin or no grin. That's me. Mr. controlling.
lovebitme Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I would hang around a little while longer. Give her a little space to think and reflect the next couple months. During this time try to move on yourself and see if the feelings die. Date other women too. No sense burning the bridge on this one IMO.
melodymatters Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 She did start bitching about a woman at work in the car & I jokeingly told her "you know what would give (so&so) a big laugh?" She goes "what?" Me: "finding out your date left you on the side of the road because you kept talking about her." I made sure to grin really really big. She got the message. " . Holy hairy azzhole batman ! Yeah, yeah, that other one's been keeping you on the fence and it's about time you moved on, BUT THE ABOVE ???? It's a FIRST date and maybe she was nervous and was telling an "annoying work story" to fill in a little silence and you threaten to leave her on the side of the road for that ??? That is just sooooo creepy. Maybe there's a reason phone friend is bailing, maybe she posts here too and people are saying " Dude, he sounds like a douche" !

That is just sooooo creepy. Maybe there's a reason phone friend is bailing, maybe she posts here too and people are saying " Dude, he sounds like a douche" ! OK, I see the problem. I forgot to mention she already knows me. She knows my sarcastic personality. Not many women just go up & ask out a total stranger. jeez. It wasn't creepy. It was funny. Period. She laughed. it wasn't mean. Got it? I was being an ass for sure but a well meaning ass. that is my personality. you should probably ask more questions before you make such snap judgements & assume I really would kick a woman out of my car like that. Seriusly, WTF? is every woman so jaded & bitter around here they take everything out of context & look for a reason to bash a guy? Did you even read the rest of my post? The thing in the car you got your panties in a twist over happened at the beginning of the date. If I was such an azzhole like you say would she of still been affectionate & flirty with me the rest of the date? as for phone chick, if you bothered to read my post you'd see she was clearly leading me on & using me as an emotional tampon. She didn't want me, but she didn't want anyone else to have me. because then i'd stop paying attention to her. And I fell for it. Phone chick wasn't bailing. She INSISTED she wanted to date me & that I didn't date other women then made excuses why she couldn't give me alone time. There was always a buffer. Like her kids. Phone chick called me almost twice a day when she was driving to & from work to bitch to me about her problems. If I didn't pick up she'd get all butthurt & ask me if I was avoiding her. Phone chick would not call me on her days off nor would she tell me she had the day off unless I'd ask her what she was doing. I suspect she was out with some other guy. I told phone chick to go away.
melodymatters Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Hahahahaha ! Happy Thanksgiving Phin ! I gotcha. Even you have to admit that would be a creepy/scary thing to say to someone you just met !!! But, an old pal or at least someone who knows you, I guess we can chalk it up to a silly joke. I personally am not bitter at all. I am friends with my last 4 ex's and my husband didn't leave me, he died while we were very much in love. I LOVE men ! Perhaps as a guy you can't relate to how a woman can find herself in a scary situation while dating. I have met a few "princes" in my time albeit years ago, and HAVE been stranded by the side of the road, and fought off attempted date rape another time, so...... Anyway, I totally agree with your take on phone chick. One hundred percent, I was just joking in my last portion. So, have a good one, and good luck with dating this new chick !
Author phineas Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 ok. I do see how I guess it could be creepy. It was a funny light hearted way for me to let her know to stop bitching about work. I just don't want people to think i've gone to the dark side (become a jerk) because I let one woman latch on & start sucking the life out of me. I think after this last incident i'm in a better place than any to better recognize whether someone is jerking me around.
irc333 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Yeah, I get a kick out how people use "the holidays" as an excuse for not being able to date (how convenient, right?), when the holiday season is when single people get MOST needy even. LOL Sorry, I don't buy it. Considering the next month and a half are the busiest times of the year, I'm going to take her word for it that she's extremely busy. But if that's the case, she shouldn't even be dating.

lino Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Wow, what a rubbish excuse that is. I've been working more than 70 hrs/week the last 2 months and still had time to see my girl. Seriusly, WTF? is every woman so jaded & bitter around here they take everything out of context & look for a reason to bash a guy? Not every one of them but unfortunately most of them have a chip on their shoulder about one or more things. The regulars in particular.

I chalk this up to little or no interest. I could of handled no interest zero problem & moved onto the next woman. It was the fact she literally told me she was attracted to me & wanted to have sex with me just to keep me from walking & even went so far as to make plans for me to sleep over a few days later then the night before cancel the sex part & still expect me to come out for dinner & hang out.
irc333 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I can't understand why someone would find something as dull as work more interesting than a date with someone? LOL
