yah Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Apparently, there are 5 stages to a relationship: 1. Romance Stage 2. Power Struggle 3. Stability 4. Commitment 5. Co-creation Have you found these to be true? How long did each last?

Co-creation Have you found these to be true? How long did each last? I don't find this to be true at all. At least it was not like this in any of my relationships. 4 and 5 obviously do come at a later stage though.
alexlakeman Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I never really thought of thoses stages. Maybe we do them subconciously?
D-Jam Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I dunno. I never dealt with a power struggle...but I tend to stay away from women who try to dominate me.
thatsonlyme Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I've experienced only stages 1 and 3. 2 of my relationships failed at stage 4. I'm not sure what's stage 2 though.
BrianK Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Power struggle = getting over all the bs games you both went through getting TO step one. Getting over the flaking, ignored texts etc. This is where the guy takes the lead.
