I think you should delete this photo and never look back. These threads are never as constructive as you'd hope they'd be.

 

However, I do think you should either get a fade, or keep your hair in a hat until your dreads are more substantial.

re: hair- do what makes you happy and expresses who you are. i'm not a fashionista so i can't comment on that aspect.
