fun2bewith Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 What questions do you have about your life and/or your relationship?
yah Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 When I was 20, I was focused only on my own future. I was not interested in a serious relationship. I could not wait to finish college and see where I would end up. Would I be in grad school, working, or what? Would I have my own apartment, have cool roommates, be in a new town, meet tons of hot guys, etc.? At 24, I'm still not completely ready to settle down yet.
Titania22 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 When I was 20, I was already married. I think my question was, "How did I get myself into this, and is there any way out?"
SincereOnlineGuy Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 You are a 20 year old female... What questions do you have about your life and/or your relationship? All that matters is trying to accurately assess my social worth before dating accordingly. This is seldom something as simple as a math equation, for I must first compensate-for/overcome my mother's shortcomings as a parent and her desire to project the mess grandmother made of her onto whatever I might salvage of myself. Then I have to sink or swim in a world wherein men (and other women too) are doing their darnedest to tear-down young women who might not be confident enough to date at a level that matches their social worth AND (tear down) women who somehow over-estimate their true social worth at the same time. Were this exercise as simple as, say, an SAT test then I could rate a number, obtain the number, and then simply compare numbers for suitable dating candidates. Instead, I have to try to ascertain my unique 'social worth' while having little beyond subjective criteria by which to gauge it. And of course any experimentation I do, socially, will be heavily impacted by the sometimes-randomness of the individual guys with whom I am experimenting along the way. So, in short, it's a cruel, cruel world out there for me... (thankfully many of the perks put upon 20yo girls by society at least help to even the playing field)
