Disillusioned Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 OK, so the unthinkable happened... hell froze because one woman broke the rules and answered my ad... we talked a couple of times on the phone, exchanged texts and a few funny links, then she invited me over to her place last weekend. I knew before I arrived that she was obese, but hey, so was I until this fall... she offered me a concoction of lemon juice with some unidentifiable herb leaves in it, but I politely refused... we sat outside her apartment and talked for about an hour. She's very deeply into conspiracy theories, and she enjoys crafts, art, and writing, and she doesn't drink, plus she's about as quirky as I am... oh boy! I came away thinking that both she and I each need a little work, but I could learn to like her... she'd look a lot like Cher if she'd lose some weight, and I can clean up my property. Well, I haven't heard a peep from her since, and I think she's giving me the brush. Did she find my "independent" lifestyle too intimidating? Did she think I was too cold and distant because I didn't try to kiss her or pull anything lewd? Does she think (wrongly) her weight was a turn-off? If worst comes to worst, I'll just have to accept she cut me loose and get back into circulation, in a manner of speaking...
