bombs_down Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I'm 24. I have lost my virginity with an amazing girl one year ago. When I say amazing, I mean the kind of woman who can get and keep about any man around her. We live in different countries: she's from my home country and I'm abroad. Things got serious and passionate very fast, but there was a huge confidence and experience gap between us for me to feel comfortable. The distance wasn't helping either, so I broke up in 6 months. Out of these, we were physically together for about 2 months. I had some terrible moments while being on heart recovery, but those are hopefully over. She still cares for me in a mostly platonic way. So now I need to move on, and I have two choices for a next girlfriend. I'm confident enough to hit on any of them (my skill is limited, though). 1. A beautiful, intelligent girl. If I get with her I will probably fall in love, feel like the second in command and suffer, again. But I will follow my heart, and the happiness peaks will be very high. 2. A less attractive (yet still cute) and less sophisticated girl. I feel that I can get in control and she will help me build solid confidence for later-on relationships. I need practice with women (both sexually and romantically); nothing improves you more than experience. It does make me feel evil and guilty, but I know deep inside that for the long term, it's exactly what I need. If I get with her, I'll do my best to make her happy. I am ok looking and I'm working hard on my shyness. My wish is to build confidence and then carry on with a normal life: better late than never. So what do you people think? What would you advise me to do?
welikeincrowds Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Other people are not tools for you to use to work out your identity and/or issues. Your choice for your next girlfriend is the next girl you meet that interests you and shares the same romantic ambitions.
