heartbrokengal Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I know it may seem a bit early to start this topic, but I went to Wal-Mart on Saturday and they already have a few Christmas decorations up. Believe it or not Thanksgiving is right around the corner with Christmas shortly following. Hopefully I will survive that but then there is New Year's and that *special* kiss. If that's not bad enough we've got Valentine's aka Single Awarenss Day :-( I admit I'm pretty sensitive and nothing makes me miss my ex more than the holidays, birthdays etc because for me it's all about friends, family-the people you love. I cried on the way home just thinking about it (and her!) I hope I don't sound too depressing. I'm just hoping and looking for extra ideas/help for making it through this time. We can support each other and post our ideas/experiences here.
shayan Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 it's never too late to meet someone new, maybe you should try going out to some parties or hanging out with friends and spending time with peers during this time. This will give you the chance to perhaps meet someone new or atleast be distracted by interesting people. Just do things that help shift your focus of attention. For some reason I always break up with exes before the holiday season, and I spend it alone. But, this year I know I'm going to find someone to make it through the holidays with! You're not done man. I'm telling you there are so many other women try giving them some of your attention and interest. Shayan
Author heartbrokengal Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Thanks for the reply. It seems to be a challenge meeting lesbians, especially since I live in a small, conservative town and according to my good gay pal look 'straight'. I'm feeling down tonight and really missing her. She texted me the other day saying she wanted me to call her and that she misses me...idk if I'm going to respond or not Stay strong and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
