Girl getting back with ex!

Hi guys ive come to this forum seeking advice. Im 22 and about 3 or 4 weeks ago i met this girl who is 27 and weve been seeing each other lots and have so much in common and never have i had feelings for someone as much as her. We were'nt officially going out, but i dont think it was far off, we were kissing and holding hands lots. and we both told each other we really felt we had a good connection and that and were really looking forward to future plans.....but tonight it hit me like a bombshell, i got a call off her and she basically said that she had got a phonecall off an ex over the weekend that she split up with like 6 months ago saying that he still loved her and they are going to give it another go. I am so gutted, ive never met anyone i got on with so much and had so much in common, i feel like im meant to be with her. She said shes really sorry and gutted becuase she does really like me and wants to carry on being friends and still do the things we planned but i dont know if i could handle seeing her knowing shes seeing someone else. I dont know what to do now, 1 part of me thinks that i should try and talk to her again and tell her how i fell exactly and what a waste it seems and to try and win her back or whatever, but another part of me thinks i should just leave and try and be friends with her. Im just so devastatingly gutted and never had this feeling before, i feel so sh*t.....

Sorry to hear about that, but there's absolutely nothing you can do. The best course of action would be to cut all contact with her. You were her rebound guy, nothing more.

 

If it's any consolation, we've all been in your situation at one time or another. I had my heart broken at 22 and it took me years to get my self esteem back. Don't let that happen to you by moping after someone who clearly doesn't want you. Give yourself some time to get over her. Spend more time with your friends, go out and do fun stuff with them.
