dyermaker Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 I'm partial to House of Pain as well, speaking of Irish musicians
BrainRightHeartWrong Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 yee sarcasic git dyermaker, look ere matey... Phil Lynott did it all and even though he was a black irishman ( ha ha ho ho ) ( very rare for his time i must add ) we leprechauns consider the whole band to be irish... so pog mo thoin!
dyermaker Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Didn't understand a word you just said, but I'm not sarcastic at all--I enjoy House of Pain, and Everlast as well. Makes me feel like putting on my **** kickers and kicking some ****
ldybg51 Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 My ex used to play the guitar for me and one of those songs he played was Comfortable, JM. So now it is a real good bad mood song. When Im in a good mood I get in my car, sunroof open and windows down, just driving to be listening to music, playing anything Dave Mattews Band before he went mainstream. One of my favorite things to do.
NotaBadguy Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Quite a variety of music here --> (just to name a few) Down and out - Journey, Brian McKnight, Chicago, some country (Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney), Jagged Edge, Dru Hill, Tony Rich Project, Boys II Men, KC&JoJo, Immature, Mint Condition etc... Aggrevated - Metallica, Trapt, Nickelback, Trust Company, AFI, Staind, Bush, 2Pac, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, AC/DC, Korn, etc... Mellow - Sarah McLaghlan(sp?), Eric Claption, Bob Segar, Kenny G
Pookette Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 System of a Down-Chop Suey and P.O.D.- School of Hard Knocks are some faves too. Oh, and Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice. Those guys are awesome for getting Christopher Walken in that video!
faux Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 I have a few that are impacting: “Metal Machine Music” — Die Krupps “Aryx” — Karsten Koch - Perhaps the most famous MOD (Tracked music composition) file on the net. “Flies and Blue Skies” — King's X - One of my all-time favorite bands. There's too much to list. Most of the artists I love the majority of people have never even heard of. I just can't help but love me some Skinny Puppy, Leather Strip, Gary Numan and Tiamat. And if you know who Gary Numan is, no... I don't like just his “Cars” song. I much prefer the “Pure” album.
jenny Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 pretty girls makes graves - is it broken doctor? track 5. josh ritter - leaves and kings eminem - illest, sometimes go to sleep bitch. divine comedy - lost property talking heads - true stories as a sum album belle and sebastian - she's losing it (cliche, i know) smiths: sing me to sleep cure: cut here acoustic.

originalsphinx Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Dyer - I think the Live song you are referring to is Lightning Crashes - from the album Throwing Copper.....
metal_chik Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 I can't believe no one has mentioned Fleetwood Mac! Who doesn't love Stevie Nicks? She's just awesome. And Lindsay is bada$$ on guitar. For ne one that likes bluegrass, u need to check out Goosecreek Symphony. They been around since before the 70's. They grew up on Goosecreek in Floyd county Kentucky, hence the name. They're a killer band, My mom got me hooked when I was little and I've loved 'em ever since.

DerangedAngel Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Dyer - I think the Live song you are referring to is Lightning Crashes - from the album Throwing Copper..... Yes! I cry when I hear that song... "Hand Me Down" - Matchbox 20: great song to listen to when you're 'romantically depressed' (?). Er, depressed over a love-situation. There. "Torn" - Natalie Imbruglia. What? I like it. "Do This Anymore" - Nickelback. Foo Fighters. Dave Matthews Band. "Crash Into Me", "The Space Between". *sigh* -Deranged

UCFKevin Posted March 11, 2004 Posted March 11, 2004 Lightning Crashes is a great song. I can do a pretty damn good imitation of the lead singer while singing it. But my all time favorite has to be Everlong by Foo Fighters. The original version, the live versions, the acoustic version he did on Howard Stern...just simply amazing. Born to Run and Thunder Road by the Boss, though...they're the tops, too.
