I've been in a new relationship 6 months now and we just took a vacation together and it went great. From time to time i think of my ex who had left me after 9 years via an email.. yeah a total douchey thing to do. He never responded and disappeared. However, his sister had kept her friendship status with me on facebook. She recently had a wedding and has been posting wedding pics.. and as i suspected she put up ones of her bro aka my ex. In the pics he was all cuddling with the sister in law i suspected was the reason he had left me. However in the letter he only blamed me and said he didn't want to remain friends. I spent a year blaming myself .. when in reality he obviously had moved on. It just gets to me that i had the wool pulled over my eyes. Anyway.. I'm just really happy to be free of this guy now knowing how he supposedly treats people he loves. So the question is haha... are all guys douche bags? It's hard to really trust again after this. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.. but that didn't get me anywhere. :/ : o

There are less douches out there than non-douches. Trust me on this. If you go around thinking all guys are douch-bags though, you are probably going to create douche-bags that were non-douches before. People are generally a reflection of oneself. Take it as you will.

The key is to spot the douchebags BEFORE you invest in them emotionally. The way to do that is read up on what the red flags are, and nip those in the butt before you get your heart broken into a million little pieces. Sadly some douchebags - (male and female) - are so good at throwing up a facade that sometimes you can't figure out if they are douchebags until it is too late. And unfortunately that's just life.

But there are douche bags for both genders, the thing is you just have to try and move on. I know I'm the last person to be giving advice on moving on, but you should try, try to date other people, don't blame all men.

There are going to be rotten people of both sexes but there are also some pretty cool ones out there too. You just can't let yourself get into the mindset that they all suck otherwise you will miss out on the good ones because they won't want to hang around someone with a chip on their shoulder the size of Texas.

Its what we were god given. and its biased comments like this that serve no purpose. There is no "most" women are this or "most" men are that. Unless anyone has met a majority of the worlds population of that gender than they can say that with honesty. There are good and there are bad people of both genders that we will come into contact with as we date. The challenging part is treating them as individuals and not assuming that everyone of that same gender acts that way. Lets see how far someone gets in the dating world thinking that way.

Has she lost my respect for her? definitely! Do i hate all women for the rest of my life because of what she has done to me? No, and its her loss.
