Author Mad Max Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 BMI charts are c$ap. They are the same for males and females...which is pretty silly. That guy in your avatar is hot though. You don't know how I'm built. And considering the majority of the country is overweight, someone that looks thin is actually normal.
Author Mad Max Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 Well it doesn't matter. Bone density should pale in comparison to muscle mass. Do you have muscles? Do you weight train? Do you know your body fat percentage? Not trying to get technical ( since this isn't even the thread for it) but muscles mass and BF% would definitely make a person weigh and look differently. But back to topic.... if you're not bothered by people asking you about your status, no harm no foul. My body fat is around 6-7%. If I train regularly, I have cut abs. But yeah, I'm not bothered by people asking. Just not sure why people ask now all of a sudden.

Personally from what you've written about yourself, I think you sound hot. But don't take me seriously, since I'm easily won over by guys with fit bodies. On another note, maybe people are simply just curious.

OceanGirl Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Few extra pounds wouldn't hurt you. You must have small boned/narrow build. I am just saying that most women like their men to look bigger than them.

Besides, M_M is 6'1-6'2- whatever he's lacking in weight, I'm already certain he's made it up in height ( If we have to talk stereotypes, most women also like thier men to be taller than them).

I am just saying that most women like their men to look bigger than them. It's not my fault if the majority of the country is overweight. A link regarding the weight of women: http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/healthcare/a/tallbutfat.htm The average woman weighs the same as me and I'm almost a foot taller. Something wrong with that picture?
OceanGirl Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 MM, I was just joking around. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.
Mellisa Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Lately, people seem to be curious as to whether I have a girlfriend, or if I'm dating anyone or not. It doesn't bother me, I just find it odd that I get it quite a bit now and never before. wow, that's it? this sounds a little self-obsessed :laugh:I'm new here and I suppose everyone else here knows you very well?

I don't feel I'm lacking in weight though. I just happen to stand out in a society consisting of mostly overweight people.
BobSacamento Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 What do you say when they ask you? Generally I respond with - "Do you have someone in mind?"
Author Mad Max Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 What do you say when they ask you? Generally I respond with - "Do you have someone in mind?" Depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I'll just tell them I don't. Other times, I'll just change the subject. I'm not offended when they ask, but up until a year or two ago, no one bothered to inquire. Now, people are suddenly so concerned.
e.clipse Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 maybe they ask because they are worried that you're getting old and are still single.
Author Mad Max Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 maybe they ask because they are worried that you're getting old and are still single. Old? I'm 22.

tami-chan Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 White, single, slender, not bad-looking man in NYC..they think you are gay but want to make sure -so they ask. Of course, that's just a stereotype.
Author Mad Max Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 You're attractive. What were you expecting? Women to ask you about the latest Star Wars game? Not all women enjoy games like I do . Would be something different.

Of course, that's just a stereotype. Lol Tami. Being a single woman in New York, I have never asked a guy if he's gay by asking if he's single. If I have to ask, I would go straight to the point and asks if he's gay. In New York, you can always tell a gay guy from a straight guy. It's just harder to discern the metro ones.

Not so much in the other boroughs.

Funny because I was on 82nd street one day and saw this gay guy wearing makeup and carrying a purse. Definitely more eyecatching than a billboard sign.
