totallyunsure Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 i am just looking for some advice as i have had good information from here before.i am trying to find someone to date but i am not great at knowing how to go about it.what i want to know-with any girl i meet in general life for the first time and we get chatting is it best to ask her for her phone number and put her on the spot or is it best to give her my number so if she wants she can phone me?have any guys tried this?girls how would you feel about this?thanks everybody

It's a little more buffered than putting her on the sopt or dishing out your number and hoping for a call. If she gives hers, ask if there is any good time to call. See if she looks like she wants you to.

If she asks you for your number, there is a 1% chance she will actually call. That's just the way it is. Sometimes the best move is to make plans right then and there, and then ask for her number as a formality. Other times that isn't appropriate, and so you should simply ask her for her number so that you can see her again. Go ahead and put her on the spot. You want to do that. There's no need for ambiguity. Hopefully your brief conversation with her was entertaining to the point that was no surprise that you should want to see her again. At any rate, if the girl was in the position to ever give it to you, that's the best way to find out -- and the easiest way to blow it is to waffle and dance around the issue. You want her number. Don't waffle.
