There are some women who are known to go off of birth control when they want to get pregnant and then the man is stuck. This is no to say that men are blameless because they should be protecting themselves as well. Absolutely Woggle, I only responded to the fact he was implying all sexually active women should be on oral contraceptive unless they want a child. There are always exceptions and lumping all women together is unfair. Even if a woman says she is on the pill, she could be lying anyway, so if you don't want a kid, you should take care of the protection for yourself. It will be of little solace to you to be able to say she was on the pill, if you end up having to pay child support for 18yrs.

Another effective form of bc I failed to list. Listen, if a female is not on any type of bc, she wants a baby. If she absolutely did not want a baby she would prevent it and be proactive with any method at her disposal. There are many available. Us men have only one. Well, two. Snip. I dont think many men understand that gravity of this conversation. If your girl is not on bc of any type, she wants to have a baby. Understand this. But even if a girl says things like she won't keep a pregnancy, it doesn't mean when the pregnancy comes she won't change her mind. Even if she thinks she is sterile, or can't hold a pregnancy, it doesn't mean that yours won't be the magic sperm that changes that. Guys can get screwed from the smallest chance. A woman might be saying she doesn't want a child, because she doesn't think she will be able to have one. The ultimate point is, if the baby is conceived and she decides at that point she does want the baby, you're screwed.

You do know that some of those can't be used alongside a condom (or would provide no additional benefit if you were to do so). As for abstinence, I'm sure most guys would be really happy with that.

And during that period of time lots of guys I just wanted to date for fun were looking for something serious when I wasn't. So it's not always about gender, usually it's about a person's goals and what they hold dear in life that determines what they will pine for more.
