AlexiHC Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 So I started a new job about 3 months ago, office environment, i get out of training and sit somewhat close to this girl. Since I started she has told me I remind me of her ex-husband and how creepy/wierd it is. I was like uh thats cool I guess. Never really said anything other than that to her. She switched to a different department so I havent really seen her for 2-3 weeks. So last week I went to have a smoke outside, she is out there and I needed a light, so I asked her for a light. I was about to put my headphones back in after that and she started talking and we talked for like 10 minutes. The other day I walked by her on the way outside, and like 3 minutes later she comes out and basically ran over to where I was and was like "hey ex-husband" and started another conversation the whole break. seriously? is this chick crazy?

Andy_K Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Maybe she's being flirty. Play with it if she's hot. Tell her you could be her next ex-husband or something. Or say she must have great taste in guys. Sounds to me more like she's just got an interesting sense of humour than being weird. I wouldn't worry she's nuts. And if she is, all the best girls are a bit crazy anyway

Maybe that's what she's trying to tell you (in a dumb and awkward way).

There was a reason she was drawn to that ex-husband. By your logic, a woman who is the daughter of two raging alcoholics, but who didn't have the gene for addiction herself, would first marry a raging alcoholic (so she could fulfill her desire to play caretaker) and then divorce that guy and swear off alcoholics for the rest of her dating life. (not without therapy, she won't) She is drawn to the traits in you which remind her of the ex husband. Just play along a bit, and see where it takes you. In fact, instead of having to think up brilliant things to say to keep her occupied in conversation, just start asking her for more info so that you can play the role of him in her recreation of her first marriage.

Leigh 87 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I can relate to how you described this girls behaviour. SOme guys think I am hot, but I can be socially inept at times. For example, running outside just to come and talk to you, and uttering the words " hey ex husband" or whatever she said, as her first words after she ran out to meet you, is socially devient behaviour. It differs from what most people would feel compelled to do. however, I say give hera chance! I can be odd in the same way she can be ( I have done very similar things, if now the same as you described her). Chances are, she may know she is a bit odd, but can conduct herself well some of the time too. I know when I act odd, but even if she does not see hot she can act strange at times, often girls like that are great of you get to know them - I know I am, yet I am sure a lot of guys have been put off by my weird habits at times. At least get to know her better if she is very hot! A verty hot girl with a bit of character, is better than a bery hot girl that is... well, the SAME as all the other very hot girls..... being al ittle strange is an interest quirk:) Unless she is to strange in the wrong way.
