sarahkm Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 i went out on a couple of dates with this guy about 9 months ago, and then decided i was not interested in him. we are completely incompatible. i have no feelings for him at all. on these dates, we never even went as far as holding hands. so i said i'd be willing to be his friend. so i haven't seen him since maybe march of this year. we exchanged emails, nothing too personal, over the months. then one day last month i finally agreed to meet with him at a coffee shop because he said he had something important to tell me. only he didn't show up. he never gave me an explanation, just randomly messaged me online a week later and said sorry. but now he's calling and texting me again. i've been ignoring him because i just really don't care for him and don't care to deal with it. he's creeping me out now from all these attempts to contact me lately. i don't know what to do. suggestions?

Cratsky Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Sounds like he's been brewing up about the fact you 'threw him away' (in his mind anyway) and probably felt like punishing you, so figured this approach would show you how it feels etc. That's so silly. I agree with previous responses: if any of your other friends treated you this way would you make an exception? You don't have a history, he obviously doesn't respect you. What basis for staying in touch and maintaining a friendship is there? To be honest, it's actually a blessing in disguise that you didn't get involved. Could you imagine how irrational he would have been if you actually had been together? *shudder*
