I heard that there are some Catholic churches that hold speed dating events where maybe 50 women meet with 50 men one-on-one for 3-5 minutes conversations and then afterward they can select who they would like to see again. Has anyone ever had any luck with this? I think it could be far better than online dating.
Philetus Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I went to two and had a great time. i can't see meeting 50 women in one night. It'll wear you out. The ones I went on, you met 10-12 women for 8 minutes each.

Disillusioned Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 It depends. Speed dating will probably work for you if you have the any-old-cow mentality, but it probably won't work if you have a laundry list.
Cee Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I've done speed dating and have had a good time. I haven't matched with anybody, but the experience was pretty fun. If you don't have serious social anxiety, it should be reasonably pleasant and enjoyable. Don't think you'd ever have 50 dates- maybe 8-10.
