bemoan Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 So I have been seeing this girl (23 y.o.) for about two months now. Her and I get along so great. We have so much in common. We like each other very, very much. I have never met a nicer, more caring, kind, and genuine girl who cares about me so much. She always tells me I make her so happy, and that she's so lucky to have me in her life and stuff like that. The other night we discussed taking our relationship further, as in becoming an "official" couple. It was then that she informed me she does not want to because she is scared. She says that she has never had a boyfriend because every time she gets close to someone, such as the case with her and I currently, she runs away and kind of drops the guy from her life completely. She tells me she is scared to take it further because of her own issues that she would get close to me, then kind of just drop for no apparent reason as she has with others, and end up hurting me. She tells me her feelings for me are so strong and that she doesn't want to hurt me, cause then she will be hurt too. Now I know these are her issues (or so she says), but does anyone have any advice on how I could maybe convince her not to "run away" from our potential future relationship? We care about each other so much, and I don't want either of us to get hurt, nor does she.
