That's what prevents me sometimes from initiating contact. If we talked on the phone a couple hours one day, I won't contact her the next day at all. She's probably thinking the same thing so we might go a day or two with no contact. Does anyone else do this?

Don't fall victim to "oneitis."

Your problem isn't technique, it's lack of options.

No, I don't get worried. I don't contact her because it's fun. I want to be thinking about her, wondering what she's up to, trying to remember what her skin feels like. This is your mind working up electricity, to be released in your touch the next moment you see her.

Don't read into this, Seduction Expert.

So are you saying minimize contact until you see them in person?

Don't get vindictive because you misinterpreted my advice, both to you in your thread, and, apparently, here as well. I never said "Dodge her calls," or "Make her wait," or even "Don't call her." I said not to worry, because the whitespace is just as important as the ink.

Is that what you'd call game playing? Confidently enjoying all aspects of the dating experience, even where there is uncertainty? Come on now, Metoo33, stay focused.

I did that too with this guy I was chatting with, so I wouldn't seem desperate. But he has been ignoring me for a week (I posted a question about this just now). I don't know why he is doing this, but I think he is tired of me.

The fact is about 80% or so of people out there play them. It is all part of the dating game. Watch out for people who say that they are tired of playing games. Those usually are the biggest game players but mostly if you want an active dating life be prepared to play along with people. You can refuse to play them but then you have to be prepared for the inactive dating life. I just let the people play.

I don't play games. I don't like dating people that play games. Games are for teenagers and dysfunctional people. Just my opinion.

For the record, I've never heard someone say this, with this same degree of fanaticism, who wasn't him/herself a "game player," or even a dysfunctional person. No one likes being played. Your position would benefit from some humility.

That is fine if you have never heard that. I really don't care that much what you have "heard". I believe if someone is truly interested in me, games aren't necessary.

You're speaking in platitudes. I have a strong suspicion that you define "games" as "any behavior I wouldn't do." Again. Your position would benefit from some humility.

I worry more that I'll get tired of them, especially when it comes to talking on the phone. But I hate talking on the phone!

I don't think the whitespace comment was so much a game. . . The fella said he likes the feeling of wondering about her when he doesn't call her, so it was for himself. Games are things you do to prompt behaviours from others. Anything you do because you sincerely enjoy the effects on yourself is not a game; that's just smartly participating in your own life.
