I am petite by nature .... you'll find many American women to do so as well.

Numerically yes, statistically, no.

As for the Asian woman; I don't find them attractive.

Their hair seems to be of the same colour, always. They also look cute in a teddy bear way. And the fact that many white man think that Asian women are the end and all in feminity when there are so MANY feminine women outside of Asia, that being in North America and in Europe, annoys me to no end.

And for the last fella: I am petite by nature. I also eat clean and fresh and I exercise. As you'll find many American women to do so as well. Maybe, have you thought that you're finding those obese women for a reason?

I'm very attracted to Scandinavian women and so are most of my friends. The ones I've known personally were very nice and beautiful... but I didn't like the personalities much. Of course that was a total of 6 girls.

Asian women are very attractive. I think most guys like them because they can be feminine without going "valley girl" on you. Or maybe they don't have the same cultural hangups about being feminine. I swear some of the women I've dated here made me think they hated being female.

There are plenty of petite American women.

I noticed something in the thread about women lying about the paternity a child she is carrying that struck me as odd and made me feel it was relevant to this thread.

Whenever a male poster in that thread spoke with sympathy for the baby conceived in deceit, they self insert their own gender on the unborn baby. I noticed it a couple times and thought nothing of it but it kept happening.

"How is that kid going to feel knowing HIS mother blah blah blah" or "What is HE going to think of HIS mother?". Never once when expressing this kind of point did a male poster mention the baby in the feminine. Maybe it happened and I missed it but once I started noticing I did look for it pretty well. Where as the female posters did not show the reverse when expressing a similar thought. They were rather mixed on the gender assignment.

Wonder what that is about?

At a guess I'd say it has to do with an easier ability to feel empathy.

It's an interesting topic and might be worth a thread.

Maybe that is the root of gender insults to begin with. Some people struggle to feel empathy for the opposite gender to the point of not even thinking of them as people, just like you, capable of the same feelings and struggles?

I bet its the same in the infidelity forum. I'm betting many women on there read the term BS and think "female" as an immediate response sometimes making the BS men feel a lack of recognition and support.

Things to tend to hit people more when they can imagine happening to them and both of the things you posted are examples of that. A personal vested interest in an issue will motivate a person.

Why can't we have a personal vested interest because they're another human? Or another parent? Or another retiree?

broke college student

injured worker

grieving widow

laid off worker

unplanned child

I'm not unable to empathize with you.

Because you feel it more when you can imagine yourself in their shoes. It's why as much as I hate homophobia I don't get nearly as fired up over gay issues as my gay uncle. It's also why this Tea Party angers my black friends the most. They know exactly what it is and it hits them the most. It's sad but we do live in a divided world though people should have empathy for all humans.
