runtim1989 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Hi, This is my first post here. I just turned 21 and I'm an American male. I am in dire need of some advice, if you would be so kind. This summer I met a girl unlike any I'd ever met. I fell in love with her almost immediately. Right off the bat I was hearing rumors that she liked me, and she was very flirtatious with me and we hung around eachother a lot. Before long I told her I liked her a lot, and she responded pretty neutrally (if not evasively). Things continued to build up for a while, and at a seemingly random point things completely froze over. I honestly cannot guess what happened, but we didn't see eachother for months. Recently though she called me up out of the blue, and she's called me or driven across town to see me almost every day. She's VERY flirtatious with me and we sometimes hang around eachother for 12 or more hours at a time. I cannot understate how much I like her. Like I said she's like no one I've ever met. I've seen her friends whisper to her about me, and all her friends and mine think we're already a couple. I have absolutely no clue what to do now, for two main reasons. First, I'm EXTREMELY inexperienced with romantic relationships. Second, she is not your average girl at all. This summer she shot down all of my compliments, "I really like you"s, all the stuff I would consider conventional. At the time she said she needs to get to know a guy very well, and get very comfortable with him, before going in a romantic direction with him. She responds very negatively when guys hit on her. I have the feeling she would appreciate a very honest approach, and that maybe I should just tell her what I feel for her and see what happens. Or am I supposed to lean in and kiss her? Or should I just wait? I have NO idea. I am bewildered and frankly, scared things will cool off if I don't do something. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks very much.
