My lunch "date" today went well. He was very nice and he already sent me a follow-up email saying he really enjoyed having lunch with me and hopes to get together again soon. The only down side is that I found out during lunch that he works for a good friend of my exMM's, and I don't know what my exMM has or will tell this friend about me. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't worry about things that obviously haven't happened yet. Other than that it was great and I'm happy to have met (or, re-met, because I met him once before and we hit off nicely) a cool guy who's also ****single****. Hee hee!

Cool, SB!!! Glad you had fun. Great development. And you know what, if this guy judges you because you were with xMM, then he is not as accepting than he needs to be i guess so don't worry about anything and enjoy!

Thats great Star. I wouldnt give xMM a second thought. How would xMM even know. The new guy doesnt know about the A, he would have to tell his boss I went out with Star who would then have to tell xMM.

If they all know and they tell so what? xMM missed out bigtime. That is not your problem. Let him cry in his soup!

Ha ha, that's funny jj.

Awhile ago, when exMM and I were still together, he told me that his friend (date-guy's boss) told him that he had heard a rumor about MM and an OW and he asked MM questions about his OW and MM just answered how old I am but wouldn't say what my profession was. But the convo was weird and by the that time I had reason to doubt everything exMM said, so I was thinking it was probably his way of trying to tell me that he had told his friend about me or confirmed my identity to his friend. It's a small legal community and perhaps word will get out but, who knows, and, even if he does know then maybe date-guy doesn't/won't care.

Glad it went well.

Can I give you some advice?

Stop typing "my" xMM. Just xMM :) Stop personalizing him. He is an EX - no need to say "my" xMM. i think this will also help you heal. Just my thoughts :)

BUT YOU GO GIRL! Date and enjoy!!! Do not worry about xMM!!! This is YOUR life!!
