Hi there,

I am wondering if people believe that chemistry is mutual?

In this case, I am referring to something more than sexual chemistry. I had an incredible first date with a guy last week; our personalities and interests instantly meshed without any effort. It was remarkable how natural it felt to spend time with him!

Now I am left wondering about chemistry. In your experience, does this tend to go both ways? I'd love to think it does (and that he is equally psyched), but I just don't know.

Any brilliant insight out there? :)

Chemistry can be felt only on one side, unfortunately.

one would think chemistry would by definition be mutual.. however perceptions can be tainted by things such as desperation... I mean some people are so desperate and lonely or maybe just miscalibrated that is someone smiles and says hello in their general direction they think they must like them so i dunno...

Interests meshing, can be considered a compatibility factor.

With chemistry, I think there has to be a component present (i.e. one from both sides) that creates the chemistry (i.e. the connection).

I think I just need to mellow out and wait to see what happens. . .
