waitedtoolong Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 So... after a very very long break, I am getting back into dating. I met a girl and after our 2nd date, we spent 2 nights in a row together. We spent the night at her place after our date, and spent the night at my place the next day. She had errands to run so she had to go today. I really like this girl and she seems to be very into me. Only after half a day apart, I am already missing her haha. Would I be being too needy if I call to see if she wants to meet tonight? Would it be better to not call today? She tells me she hasn't felt this way about a person in a long long time. And I feel the same way about her. So, should I wait until I call her? Or just call?
USCGAviator Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Let her chase you a little bit. You won't regret it
skydiveaddict Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Wait to call, what ever you do. Three days at least. Otherwise you will come across as a needy "nice guy". The certain path to the friendzone
welikeincrowds Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Otherwise you will come across as a needy "nice guy". The certain path to the friendzone OK, I laughed. The certain path to the friendzone. LOL. The path we must never tread. I generally don't agree with the idea that calling looks needy. If she likes you, she wants you to call; if she doesn't like you, she doesn't want you to call. That's about as complicated as it gets. HOWEVER, I also agree with a few other things: Absence makes the heart grow fonder.Ebb and flow; iambic feet; day and night; wakefulness and sleep. You shouldn't compromise your own friendships and interests, just as you wouldn't want her to compromise hers. Missing her is half the fun. Balance it out and call her soon, but not now.
Author waitedtoolong Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 ok so I didn't call her but she started messaging me online
welikeincrowds Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 ok so I didn't call her but she started messaging me online That's nice. Keep it short, man. Don't give it all up at once. The best meals are paced so that you always want just a little bit more, all the way until you get to the dessert wine -- and then you're really ****ing satisfied.
Star Gazer Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 That which takes off like a rocket is certain to come crashing down like one. As WLIC said, missing her is half the fun. Enjoy it. Don't rush it.
