sweetenough Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 I've been talking to a guy for about 4 weeks now and have met up with him once (we were both on our lunch break). Things went great! We were having a nice conversation with A LOT of flirting thrown in, long and steady eye contact with each other and he was constantly smiling and laughing. At the end of our meeting, which was a Monday, he proposed meeting on Friday because he had a day off. He then texted me that night- because I said to him, "you're terrible at texting back" and was really cheeky and sweet, even called me 'babe'. The next day he texted me and said he had to work on Friday, so I asked when could I see him- and he said "maybe Sunday, but I may be hungover!" (It was his birthday this week, and he went out to celebrate) and voilà! Today is Sunday and NOTHING. I texted him yesterday morning asking if today was still on and I didn't get a reply, and today I tried probing him on Facebook and again nothing. I know he got very hurt in his past relationship of 2 years, she cheated on him. This is why I am giving him 110% and receiving about 20%. I know he doesn't trust girls much and I want to prove myself to him that I would never hurt him- but he's making it so difficult. I'm probably just coming across as clingy now, but I really want to give this a fair go. Any advice on what I should do?!

Why do you have to give him 110%?Why do you have to prove yourself to him?Is he really that good and worthy? You've tried too hard too early.It just sounds he's not into you and you are being too eager..Just let it slide and see how it goes.
