Wow D-Lish, I'm so happy you got out of there when you did. That's unreal.

Good looking women often face these perils, D is no exception

Holy smokes, D. I think that's pretty close setting the bad date standard, short of those that end in tragedy, of course.

I've had some disappointing ones. The closest to "bad" that I can remember was a blind date with a girl who was the daughter of someone my step-dad worked with. I was really pining for an ex and in no state of mind to be going on a date, but when am I ever really.

It was going ok until we went to a movie that I picked on a whim. It was foreign and got good reviews, but I guess I didn't read them closely enough. There ended up being lots of scenes with naked gay guys. I think she thought I chose it on purpose. She seemed to lose interest after that.

Yes D is certainly beautiful. I think what D described, can also happen to anyone really, it's scary. I think D is a trooper for the way she handled it.

It just makes you realize that people in general are ****ing crazy.

It's funny, I had met someone else before accepting this date- but he came down with the flu and I knew we couldn't see each other for a bit. I already knew I liked the first guy a lot after the 2 dates before he got sick but decided not to put all my eggs in one basket. After I had the bad date I felt like karma was punishing me.

Haha. I personally would have found a lot of humour in that!!

True, but almost all women are experts at escaping bad dates. I'm sure it was SOP with her

Cant say I blame you there. I'll never trust online dating after the last one I had. I tried dating this one girl online. Right with the idea she was gonna visit my this nov. So anyway after a while I find out shes a junky and dopes on pills all the time and weed. but she says she uses them for her medical problems. I'm like ok. in the mean time she's sending me pictures of her being naked and masturbating and things like that. Which is whatever to me. I'd rather have the real thing. But anyway, Then out of the blue she deletes me off her myspace friends list and then doesn't talk to me for like 2 days. And then tells me she's breaking up with me because.. Well actually I still dont know why. So I made a remark about not playing anymore stupid games and havent spoken to her since then. I still dont really get it.

It was funny in hindsight:p He was bat shyte crazy. I was in shock that people like him existed outside of mental institutions. He was such an angry, angry guy.

He totally did, the very next day, lol. That was about 6 years ago. That experience tainted my online dating entuhusiasm!

hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa

lol

Thanks guys for the laughs, I do not laugh easily, and suffer on and off depression, and today was a depressive day, and this has sure lifted my spirits!

I tend to laugh at the ridiculousness that is real life - people who just say and do certain things that are way off. I am baffled at how one can act so ...... yeah.

I have only read page one. I hope the best is yet to come!

My worst date : this girl emailed me on Match, then when I responded she immediately suggested we meet up. I thought 'what the hell' and agreed, even though I usually prefer to chat for a while over email.

I meet her on Friday evening in a crowded bar/restaurant. She turns up and is certainly attractive; so far, so good. We sit down at a table and engage in a bit of small talk. Then about five minutes into the date, she asks me if I'm really a vegetarian (it states the fact quite clearly on my profile) and I say 'Yes. Is that a problem?'. She said it was a problem for her because she like to cook for her past boyfriends, and that the dishes she always cooked had meat in them. She actually said to me "Didn't you read my profile?" and I said back "Didn't you read mine?".

We sat there for a few more minutes and it was really tense, and then she just said "I think I'd better go" and she left!

My worst date wasn't even a date - a guy that I had two dates prior had drinks in the neighbourhood. When he called to ask me to join him for drinks, I told him that I was heading for a wedding dinner and asked him if he wanted to share a cab back to town. He said sure, he'd come by and pick me up.

When he came by, he wasn't in a cab and apparently couldn't flag one. Had I known that, I would have called for a cab so I was a touch irate and told him that I was late and I couldn't afford to take the bus. Esp not dressed for a wedding dinner. He got offended.

I tried to play nice in the cab but he wouldn't have any of it. So when the cab pulled up, I gave the cabbie a $10 and told him (the cabbie) to keep the change. my "date" evidentally didn't hear me and waited for the change while I had walked off cos I was really annoyed.

As I was waiting at the hotel lobby for my friends to arrive, my date had come running after me with the change and told me to take my change, when I refused, he shoved it down my dress and told me that he wasn't desperate enough to want a couple bucks from me.

Crazy, much?

i haven't been on many dates, but first girl i went out with i think it was the second date. she told me she liked knives and weapons and that she had a throwing star with her. I thought "ok". and then she pulled it out of her pocket and showed me. it doesn't compare to any of the ones i've read on here.

i think the worst date a guy could go on would be when she tells him she used to be a man......
