She starts into how she has all these mental disorders and mind you this was at a dinner table at a restaurant. And As she was talking I started to notice that she kept looking over her shoulder looking around and acting funny. So and hour floats by and she's still listing off the stuff she has wrong with her. And I finally said my name. So yea I actually didn't end up calling her back after that. Ok So I thought I put up this thread and ask people to list the worst dates they have ever had. Doesn't matter girls or guys.
brainygirl Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I'll go first and there are two. The worst wasn't a date, just a meet up with a guy I'd met through OKcupid. He wasn't mean or anything, but had claimed to be one thing (in looks, career, education) and turned out to be completely different. The other, actual worst date, was a guy who I'd been talking to on and off for a few weeks. He finally asked me out and I accepted, but then the day of the date, he needed me to drive, and before we could go on the actual date, he needed to stop at a gun dealer and a store. That was weird, but probably ok, what wasn't was his habit of using "I'm going to punish you" humor all the time. I am very independent and stubborn, so this type of attempt to exert control with humor and threats really doesn't sit well with me. With all his errend running and extra driving all over the place on top of dinner and a movie, it was really late when we were done, and then i had to help him unload his crap outta my car.

Back on Feb I went on a date with a guy.. he took me to what I think is the loudest restaurant in town, people dancing on the tables, everything. Holding a decent convo was out of the question. He had a coupon, and kept reminding the waiter he was going to use it. He'd just sit there and gaze at me and tell me how pretty I was, and at one point he told me I have a white heart (I think he meant pure heart but either way...weird!). When the bill came, he threatened the waiter about making sure to apply the coupon.... I was ready to go after dinner buuuut... He invited me out dancing and it had been a long time, so I said what the hey. That was fun, and then we went to a club where we happened to see someone in concert which was also fun... but a lot of his friends were there, and he spent most of his time talking to them and left me on my own except occassionally checking on me to see if I needed a drink. I ended up meeting a woman who was by herself from out of town, so I hung with her the rest of the night. On our way out, I really felt the date was about as in the ground and dead as can be...so I was totally floored when he says to me he can see himself falling in love with me, and then corrected hmself and said he already is in love with me. Last we talked I told him I dont think its going ot work out for us, that was in Feb...like 9 months ago? He still calls and sends texts asking me what went wrong and how I can walk away after all the special moments we shared, and that he would do anything for me to make me happy. Except stop calling apparently! LoL Ooh by the way the woman I met that nite...she and I still keep in touch and have become really good friends...so the night wasnt a total waste!

Another one I just thought of, our first date he invited me to the beach, but then also had invited his friend to join us which was a bad idea cause he was *yum!* plus we had way more in common and ended up having tons to talk about. (never invite your hot charismatic friend on a date LoL!) Cause of that, I went for a date 2 to actually get to know the guy, he invited me to dinner and a movie. He took me to a german restaurant and the food is super heavy, and I wasnt hungry enough, so I got the lightest (and as it turns out cheapest) dish on the menu. He got appetizer, meal and ordered like 3 beers. Why is this important? Cause even though my food and drink came to not quite $10, and his went over $40, he complained to me about it incessentaly, and how expensive it is to date nowadays. So, we go to an ATM cause he needs to pull out money for the movies...but guess what? Insufficient funds. Aye! He said it was okay though, he had just enough on him for the movie but we cant get popcorn or soda or anything, which I was fine with...we just had dinner! Anyway, throughout the whole night, he went to the bathroom every half hour. No exaggeration....during dinner he excused himself 3 or 4 times...and during the movie he left several times as well. My friends all said he was probably a functioning cokehead, which I dont get...isnt that an expensive habit? Hes broke! LoL...but yeah, from other things I described about him (I forget now...this date was like 4 years ago) everyone right off the bat kept saying he was on coke. God. Oooh...nearly forgot the end of the night LoL! After the movie, he asked me to drive him home..as it turned out, he didnt have a car and had his friend drive him to where we met up at. So I pull up and he says hed like to invite me inside, but so I know, he has a roomate, and its a 1 bedroom, and he sleeps on the couch, but its a "very comfortable couch with room for two" I told him I should be getting home, so he says bye and leans in to kiss me... I pull back and he gets pissed, saying he doent even get a kiss? and I tell him no not really. He slams my car door on his way out and storms off. Halfway home i get a text message from him saying if I ever change my mind or get lonely, I know how to find him. Yeah....

I went on a date with a Neo Nazi who started blaming everything on the jews I once went on a date with a woman who I found out was only trying to make her fiance who dumped her jealous. He was at the same place we went and she got even more upset when he couldn't care less that she was out with another man and expected me to comfort her. I paid the check and called her a cab.

He didnt expect or want me to pay, he just wanted to complain about it. Definitely, tht he didnt pick up on it that I was not feeling it, we just didnt click at all, yet he invited me to come inside and have sex on his couch. Kinda shows what kind of gentleman he was throughout the date to be honest. just wasnt my kind of guy... I was taken off guard about the car thing, it wouldnt have been a big deal cause a lot of people in his area dont drive cause so much is close to home, but after the date we had, I just wanted to haul out of there, and thats when he breaks it to me that he needs a ride home...blah!

There was also the time I went a date with a black woman who bashed black men the entire night. I once unknowingly went on a date with a married woman who expected me to beat up her husband went he discovered us. He tried to fight me and I told him I had no idea she was married and I am leaving right now. I also had the blind date with the one who looked like Snooki a few years before the show and gave me a nasty attitude the entire time then expected to take her shopping afterwards on my own dime. I went out with a woman once who got so drunk that she forgot where she actually was. I drove her home and her roomate and I helped prop her up on the couch. Her roomate actually seemed pretty nice. I can keep going.

I want an educated guy who's more into "nerd" type things (the guys on big bang theory are more my speed) and tends to lean liberal. Unfortunately, I live in a rural area in a small town in a state that is very conservative. The guys here aren't educated past high school or a few years of JuCo. They want to watch football and other sports 24/7 and sneer at the term "red shirt". Its hard to explain except to say that sometimes I feel like I'm in a foreign country.
