810 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 how do they behave and what are their traits? likes and dislikes about them. we have threads about nice guys...i just thought we should have one for alpha males as well
carhill Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Paging alpha_male Alpha males typically don't frequent relationship forums and, if they do happen by, provide one sentence answers. Brief and to the point. Don't confuse my answer with being such
TheMENemy Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Alpha males don't answer questions like this one.
musemaj11 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I really wish I could be an alpha guy. I wish I could be the emotionless tough guy. It sucks that I cannot.
xpaperxcutx Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 There is no such specie as the Alpha Male. There are only men who are confident and refuse to be a doormat.
deebeechrisyo Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 It's a term used in the animal kingdom. It doesn't apply to humans.
shayan Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 free of the opinion of others. don't say they are sorry all the time! not afraid of being outright rejected, in fact enjoy it. are able to converse confidently with women without having to rehearse or pretend, in other words you can be yyourself and be interesting at the same time. comfortable and love themselves, and are not afraid to love others because of past rejections. most importantly you don't act like a girl,. don't be clingy, overly sensitive, scared of being left, approval seeking, all these qaulities just kill it. honestly you can't an alpha male for the sole reason of attracting women, because it's inauthentic. You have to do it cause you love yourself and know you are deserving of the best, and confident to get what you need period~
ReturnToSender Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I dont think being an alpha male and being a nice guy are two seperate beings. I have a very good friend (okay, he started off as a fwb, but weve been friends for 6 years now though we dont sleep together anymore) he is an alpha male through and through, and also incredibly nice, very gentlemanly, wonderful guy through and through. If only we were romantically attracted to each other LoL! Anyway, the way I see it, at least from my experience, an alpha male is assertive, strong, has integrity, stands behind his word, not afraid to speak up when necessary... Like with this guy, I never have to wonder if he means what he says...he always says what he means and means what he says...reading betweemn the lines is pointless cause hes very direct, but he isnt cruel or mean about it. He tells it like it is with tact. No one crosses this guy or even challenges him...hes confident and without saying anything you can see it, but hes not arrogant at all. Hes not a know it all, but when he knows something hes sure of himself. When he speaks, people do listen cause well...he only speaks when he has something valuable to say, not for the sake of hearing himself talk or to puff himself up. In all these years, Ive never seen him do anyone wrong or treat anyone like they were less than him. When hes with a girl hes devoted to her, and he doesnt tolerate anything less than what hes willing to put into a relationship from anyone hes with. If only we were compatible LoL!
Crusoe Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 In my life I have only known one Alpha, one true leader of men. Very emotional fella, both hard as nails and soft as sh*t. Has an ear for everyone, a smile for all and a heart of gold. He gives strength. There's a lot of prentenders, very few real deals.
shayan Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 you can't fake it in other words. you can't set out to become an alpha male. You have to become comfortable and confident with who you are. And able to convey the things you need and be willing to get them. See if you are confident and self loving and free of the opinions of others you will become an alpha male by default. it's the same qaulities which make a women attractive no difference. I call em Omega females, they are definitly the most attractive.
Author 810 Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 then i guess alpha males are not bad. for some reasons, i think people reference them as cocky, conceited, better than thou, know it all type. nice guys who are considerate can be alpha too. that goes both ways, people who are comfortable in their own skins are attractive.

Absolutely.. Actually Ive found that guys who are cocky, conceited, think they are better than others are actually just trying to come off as an Alpha male. A man who is truly confident about himself and self-assured dont have that inclination to prove themselves to anyone, and definitely dont have to knock anyone down to feel better about themselves.
phineas Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Just don't treat a woman like your GF until she is having sex with you. Don't listen to her chirp over the phone. Don't get into long drawn out text exchanges either. If she wants you to treat her like a GF (and a lot of women do) she has to earn the title of your GF. Period. If she annoys you tell her what is annoying you then walk if she doesn't change it. Work on what makes you happy. If you are not happy with the woman your dating or trying to date find another woman or just stay single. Yeah sex is great. but not if you gotta beg for it.
Nemicron Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 what brought all this on? seems like a good subject
sumdude Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Dwight D. Eisenhower. Intelligent, empathic yet hard as nails when necessary, insightful with absolute integrity. A true leader. There were very good reasons he earned the position of Supreme Commander and later POTUS. Edited November 5, 2010 by sumdude
Nemicron Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Not willing to take anyone's grief. And is of strong will.
