stellastreet Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I have been split up from my ex for over a year now and NC for a year. A mutual friend called me yesterday to tell me he is having a baby with his new partner. I am absolutely gutted by this. It makes it worse that she is 12 years younger than me and I am unable to have kids. I feel as if I am back to square one today and am really upset. Any advice on how to cope with this, LSers?
nobmagnet Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 oh im so very sorry. it happened to a freind of mine too. married for 15 years no babies tests and such then they split and he gets his new woman pregnant. Apart from saying i feel for you i very much doubt i can make you feel better. She is adopting now with her new hubby and is very excited too. I live in Britain and the laws to adopt are great for single people so dont write off being a mum. big hugs nobby xx
tobydog Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Oh you must be totally devastated by this, I am so sorry. I have little advice...we had 8 years of IVF and got our little boy who has now been adandoned by his father! Try not to think about it tho I know that sounds hollow and virtually impossible. Take care and try to not let it get you back to square one. x
rebeccajones Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Try to find your own happiness. I'm sorry you feel this way, I do understand I'm sure I would feel bad if this happened to me, but we have to know that we have to find our own happiness in life. I'm sure you can! Focus on your goals and dreams and watch them come true, don't focus on his life you will diminish yours! I think through all this hurt in life we MUST love ourselves.

durkadurka Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I am so sorry to hear this. Gosh, I'm happy that's something I don't have to worry about for at least 4-5 years because she has an IUD in her.
