Rinah Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 First off, sorry If I'm in the wrong thread, and If I am can you please direct me to the right one. I'm a new member! Me and my boyfriend have been together for nearly 5 years (5 years this upcoming valentines.) He recently told me that he was going to be moving back with his family for a year while he works on paying his debts. His family lives in a completely different province from me, miles away. We both decided that we will stay together and do distance during this time, he will fly to visit me every few months. This isn't a problem. He is only down here with me, for a few more months before he goes to move back with family. I'd like to make these next few months memorable and fun before he goes. I'm hoping to get some ideas on what we should do dating wise? I'm out of ideas when it comes to dates. We've done the whole movie/dinner ordeal too many times to count. We've went out to explore the city, walked downtown. And we've been to some other places together. I'm seeking some good dating places & ideas! Perhaps share with me what you and your partners/dates do/go to have a good time? I'm also hoping for a new look, I'd love to look great (if not my best!) for him while he's here. Some aesthetic advice would be lovely too. Here I have some photos of myself, and the different hairstyles/colors/ hair cuts I've been through within the last few months/years. Perhaps you can tell me which photo you like best, and which suits me most? Or suggest a new hairstyle/ color, or any other beauty advice It would be greatly appreciated! Don't worry I have a good attitude if you have something negative to say. Also, I have a Monroe piercing, before anyone asks, thats what the dot is. http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z117/rinassigns/
Eeyore79 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Also, I have a Monroe piercing, before anyone asks, thats what the dot is. Why would you pay good money to have something stuck on your face that looks like a wart? Other people pay money to have such blemishes removed! Sigh, young people nowadays...
Author Rinah Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 @Eeyore79 It's actually rather funny, the other day while I was at my volunteering job, going up the elevator, a older man looks at me, and says "does that thing bother you? On your face, can you eat with it?" All I could do was smile, and tell him that "It's apart of my face now, sometimes I forget it's there." I actually love this piercing, I don't see myself getting anymore, but its apart of who I am physically now. For at least awhile
Eeyore79 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 As long as you like it, that's the main thing When I see people with such piercings, I always want to ask them if their coffee leaks out of it or anything. Nose piercings are worse, because I always imagine snot oozing out of them... how the hell do they blow their noses?! (Sorry... off topic, I know)
welikeincrowds Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 There was a thread about "the most memorable/romantic dates you ever had" here a while ago. The conclusion was that it was never really about what you did. I can agree with that. I hate my ****ty Ikea couch, but I have a few very fond memories just from sitting side-by-side on it. I know that's not what you're asking for. I'm sure you have many such memories of your own. It will help to know where you are. Is it a big city? Can you take field trips? Generally, it's about stimulation of the senses. Wine/food tasting is great. Perfumeries are great. Art galleries are great (if you're me). Spas (especially the ones where everyone gets naked) are great. Getting away from the city, especially, is great. I think a secret weapon is a good view. The chances of a memorable moment skyrocket. I have a great memory from being on a 65th-story rooftop nearby Columbus Circle in Manhattan as the sun rose. I have another one from a twilit night aside a lake in Vermont. The beauty of these moments was that they were beautiful without us even being there, but at the same time, it was beautiful because we were there to see it. ****ing nature, man. Aesthetics-wise, I think all you need is a good haircut. Your long hair is nice, but it's dragging you down. Based on photo 3 alone I think you'd look really great with shoulder length in a lighter shade of brown.
Author Rinah Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 @Eeyore79 - I just have the normal nose pierce. Not the septum, Im too much of a baby to go through that pain, hah! I did want a labret at one point though. I think I just have a thing for piercings in general, I find them attractive on the opposite sex too. Some piercings do get in the way though, when I first got my Monroe, it'd get stuck while I ate, because it was still healing. Blah! @welikeincrowds I live in montreal, It's a pretty big area id say. But as for field trips, I'm a tad broke at the moment. Perhaps some dates that aren't as costly would be ideal. Id love to go to art galleries though, that's a great idea! Perhaps when I save up more I can travel to some new areas too. I appreciate the ideas! As for the Aesthetics, I was also thinking of cutting my hair too, as it gets knots and it's driving me crazy. My hairs going back to its original color now, a ash blonde. So perhaps Ill keep it the same, or look into other shades.
