LKV Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 So when me and my ex were still going out, my asian mom was cool with it at first. She met him, he met her. But then she founds out that he drink and smoke. So her and my dad forced me to break up with him and we did. Due to the fact we barely see each other because of my parents. And now I can't help but to feel this hatred toward her, I don't know why not my dad..but the hatred is more of my mom maybe because I live with her. And me and my ex are still talking, and if we do ever get back together I'm afraid it'll be the same again.

I, too, have a very controlling, disciplinarian mom and I was so happy when I moved out and went to college. For now, as long as you are under their roof, you have to abide by their rules.

When you want to be with someone, and your parents have to be involved worrying about what others think about them instead of my happiness.
