Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Ok, so it's been 2.5 months now since the break up..as well as the sex. Oh god I miss it.. I'm in my early 20's and she was my first. We had a great year together, and despite anger and emotions I have no grudge. I'm definitely don't want a relationship right now, but the young guy "urge" is beginning to kick in bigtime. I'm not a player, and I'm not spontaneous where I can just go out and pick up girls..I've never been like that therefore I never will. What would be some suggestions to help me out? I have a cousin who is a player, and I've told him my situation. He wants to help me out, but he's been really busy with school. I plan to go out with him and hang out when he is free..but I'm getting impatient. My friends don't do clubbing, bar hopping, any of that...and they either are married, or have gf's. I would give anything to go back to the way things were...spending a movie night with the ex and sex after. I'm just not into this big chasing hunting thing, or going out and getting drunk... Anyone else been here? And what are the suggestions. I don't want to hear don't be a pussy etc. I'm just a nice honest guy, that has needs.
LoveTNT Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 What do you like to do for fun? hobbies? go do them and find a female that likes the things you do. Even if it's as friends first etc.. You'll begin to become more relaxed around other females and might learn a few things about them. You'll realize there all different kinds hahaha and it will open your eyes to what you will like in a female. have confidents. You don't have to go clubbing and drinking to meet a girl.
Author Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Very true. I like Muscle cars as I own one.. It's fast loud and lots of girls like it.. Just it's supposed to snow in 2 weeks can't be driving that around lol. I was thinking to really occupy my mind space right now, and to keep me busy busy, a dog/puppy.. Lots of nice girls own dogs and go for walks to the dog park or down nice paths, it would be a really nice chance to get out and enjoy the outdoors, and meet people. Good thought? I've always wanted a dog, and it just seems like now would be a perfect time. Get my mind off of other things, and force me to get out and about. It's also something you can enjoy on your own. Plus, since I've moved back I decided to move into the parents basement suite..I have my own area so to speak now. Edited November 3, 2010 by Gt.ooh
LoveTNT Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 That is a good idea, see you got it. Now act on it.
leftfield Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Very true. I like Muscle cars as I own one.. It's fast loud and lots of girls like it.. Just remember unlike girls, puppies are for life! Don't get tied down with one unless you're prepared for to spend the next ten years dealing with sh*t. And don't get a dog either.
Author Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Well, I believe I'm prepared for life. 1) I want a puppy to keep busy, because this ex of mine is taking over my total mindset after what she's done to me 2) The puppy would help me, and for helping me it deserves my commitment for the next 10-15 years. 3) You can't go wrong with unconditional love 4) May help me find the love I'm looking for Just the main reasons that pop into my head...I've borrowed my cousins dog and gone to the park before..I just really enjoy it. And the majority of people around dogs seem to be in good moods. Also I'm really bad for msging my ex's mom and clinging on. It's just not healthy. A puppy would definitely take care of that for me. Like you say, you never know where it might take you (other than the park - you already know that).
Author Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Haha, thanks leftfield. I appreciate it. I've though about it for the past month while all this pining has been going on. I no longer need that or want that. I found out her ex has been there in toronto (i'm back in BC)...staying in the new condo and all the new furniture I bought. I drive myself insane thinking about it, and want these thoughts behind me for my own good. Between the gym, work and a puppy I think I'd be pretty occupied for a while lol.
TLCbear Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I agree with the first poster, but just want to say since you consider yourself an honest, decent guy...be honest about your expectation.
Author Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Agreed. I do have to be honest with myself. I'll be giving it a bit more thought still.. But the thought of being busy, and not focusing on the past. And moving forward is something that's putting a smile on my face right now. Next thing... I've been thinking of doing an ultimatum txt to the ex. Let her know how I really feel. And tell her I'll never be coming back because what she did is unforgivable.. Let that sink in. With emails she just probably looks and deletes doesn't even bother to look.. Bad idea? Probably..

Author Gt.ooh Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 Thanks TLC! your right a puppy it is
PegNosePete Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 When I had a puppy it was the biggest chick magnet imaginable. Girls would just come up and start talking to me in the street, virtually every day. Shame I was attached at the time! Hmm, must get another puppy... As has been said, remember it is for life so only get one if you want a dog for the next 15 years. But if you do, it's a great way of meeting girls! Get one that will stay cute and puppy-like for a long time. Make sure it's a MAN dog, not a shih tzu or the like, or you might attract the wrong type of people!!
Author Gt.ooh Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Yea, very true. My cousin had a rottweiler we picked up when it was a puppy, but he never took advantage of him being little. I haven't fully decided if I want to go full on puppy or a dog that's just under/over a year out of a shelter...
