Woggle Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Her betrayal was the kick in the ass I needed to finally gain some self respect and truly turn my life around. The day I discovered her cheating I was a scared little boy and the day I walked out of the courthouse with the divorce finalized I was a man so for that I thank her even if it is not what she intended. Ever since that day my life was been uphill. On the other hand it certainly did make me much more cynical towards the opposite sex and I do struggle to find the balance between being a bitter misogynist and the doormat I was before. Overall it has been positive but I would be lying if I said it didn't leave any baggage.

Yep, I feel the exact same way about my exes. It was me who changed me, not them. I always knew just who I was while in a relationship, I never lost myself.
