theodora Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Ive been seeing a new guy for 9weeks exactly but feels like ive known him forever. I know i've got to move out of my brother's apartment in May because he's having a baby and in my head i am thinking maybe instead of looking for my own place, i could move in with the new guy IF things are still going well like they are now. But is that crazyness? A part of me thinks it's still going to be too soon in May, and another part of me thinks sod it, may as well just give it a try. Would be 8 months into relationship... Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? My gf and I were only dating two and a half months before we brought up living together. The plan is for me to move into her place in January if things are still good. That would make it 5 months since we met. The only thing is, we're older (I'm 44 and she's 37) so we've lived with people before and know ourselves very well. However, my ex and I moved in together at about six months and we were together 20 years.
Eeyore79 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 My friend moved in with her bf after six months of dating. They've now been together for a year and are engaged. I agree with the comments about not suggesting living together for a few more months though.

Actually probably only reason I am thinking it is he has already brought it up, he says things like "I'd move in with you tomorrow", so really it's me keeping it cooler and trying to be sensible! But I think the point still stands, I should not bring up that I am considering it until after new year (earliest) because that makes it a real possibility and it IS too soon for that to be the case. Infatuation mode! ha ha. Damn. Is that what this is? I hate that this might end and stop feeling so good!
