I sent a text message to Mr. M. (The man from my previous thread) suggesting he should contact me.

I did so, because to be quite honest (given the history; the fact that I rejected him not too long ago and to make a long story short) I want to continue to get to know him. Change of heart, perhaps.

It has been almost 12 hours and no reply. Nothing.

I do understand that people can get busy, and that he has a demanding schedule/career/lifestyle -but not a single text message back saying simply "Thank You".

How long does it usually take one to reply to a text message?

I haven't read your other thread, but seriously? You sent him a text message suggesting he should call you? You could of just as easily called him.

If I received a message like that, I would laugh. Actually, I did receive a message like that and I simply responded with a "LOL". Shame, because she was very attractive too. I just couldn't deal with her sense of entitlement.

:lmao:

Let me make this clear, since you missed to connect the dots:

1. I sent him a text message containing my contact information. I did not call him partly because he does not have my contact information, hence my information would deem unrecognizable.

2. He has asked for my contact information in the past, bluntly stating that he would want to call me.

3. Due to his schedule, I like to give him the opportunity to call me during his own down time, so that he and I can establish a comfortable somewhat routine time to talk to each other. If I were contact him, periodically, he'd most likely not pick up and vice versa.

And I quote....

Hence, my response. What do I have to connect the dots with? What part in your original post was I supposed to come to the conclusion that ...

Had you made it CLEAR from the beginning, there would be no misunderstanding. To answer your question, it depends on if I like the person or in the mood to play games.

If I like her, i usually try to respond within the hour if time permits. If I don't like her, i'll respond when I feel like it, usually the next day. He can just be insanely busy however. Try calling him, it'll be a nice surprise and he might appreciate the fact that you took initiative.
