List your top five best qualities!

As the title suggests, list your top five best qualities. They can be an aspect of your character, a personality trait, a quark, or even a physical trait.

 

Rather than wallowing on our shortcomings, I figured this could be a fun exorcise to appreciate yourself.

 

Here are mine:

 

1. I genuinely care about people: I am extremely empathetic, and usually understand people pretty well, if I so choose.

2. I am very giving: I would give the coat off my back to someone who really wanted/needed it.

3. My sense of humor/laugh: even when life is its most difficult, I absolutely get the joke. Laughter is the best medicine.

4. My ability to captivate people: I don't often draw on this strength, because I find it manipulating, but I am naturally pretty good at charming people, even if what they're captivated by is a facade.

5. My hands: slender fingers and good nails, they're my favorite body part. (This one was more difficult, as my neck/clavicle ran a close race.)

1. I am proud to be a God fearing man.

 

2. I love my family to the end of time. My family has been there for me during my divorce and I would walk to Hell and smack the devil for my family.

 

3. I love the fact that I kept my morals and my conscience when others told me not to.

 

4. I am proud of my new body shape, especially my shoulders. Since hitting the gym on a regular basis, I have better shoulder definition and I am able to perform better on my job.

 

5. I am proud of my brutal honesty. Although I may offend someone when asked a question, the person can be self assured it's the truth and I am not two-faced.

I can only think of one: Serving in the Nat'l Guard. I get to go to far away war torn countries and come back a mental case.

I will say that life is getting better, however, so maybe that's two good qualities.

Haha, yeah, I could have given a treatise on my faults! But focusing on those negative traits is probably not really good for self-improvement and personal well being...

Who really knows the reasons? Stress, family life, broken relationships, work, war, chemical issues in the brain. I don't think you lack a good reason. It can happen to anyone.

That's what my doc told me anyway.

I think those are my five! Sadly, "loving" isn't one of them--always had trouble with that one. So if I were to have a big negative, it's that I'm the most social anti-social person you'll meet. I love to be part of a group but I hate having to talk to anyone--that kind of works at cross purposes. So rather than having to make conversation, I often prefer to be alone. I'm still working on that one.
