sanskrit Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Wanted to edit prior post that I can surely find femme looking pics of John Wayne or Jack Nicholson, doesn't make them fit the "pretty" look of today generally. Thousands of pictures out there, I'm sure there is even one where Jude Law looks like he has a masculine face more than a pretty one.

I think the point is that society goes through different phases of what it finds attractive in the opposite sex. It's a fluid thing, not a trend. In the 1920s and 1930s - the eras of many of the actors I posted - the standard of beauty for men was considerably more feminine than a decade or two later. Perhaps it has become more feminine again. I'm sure it will wobble back and forth forever, as times change. It's not a one-way street.
Disillusioned Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Is it just me or are most single gay Men much more attractive then the single straight guys? These gay guys are in great shape have the faces of guys in soap operas and are just better looking Gay men refer to this as "the curse of the pink wand".
Tim The Enchanter Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 OMG.... The only thing that really shocked me is that 10% of women think the earth is bigger than the sun. .... and 5% of men... double This statistic should be 0% for both genders. Look on Youtube or Google Video for a clip from the French version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The idiot contestant doesn't know which of the Moon and the Sun revolves around the Earth, so he asks the audience...I won't spoil the rest. Gallileo is spinning in his grave.

I hope those audience members were just screwing with him!

Nemicron Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Not all cute guys are gay. I've found that people in general are to intimidated to go and ask for a number now days. Is it just me or are most single gay Men much more attractive then the single straight guys? These gay guys are in great shape have the faces of guys in soap operas and are just better looking
Suspira Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Well, I don't think all the cute ones are gay. As far as movie stars, I think a some male and female movie stars are androgynous, which widens their appeal. Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Charlotte Rampling, Cary Grant all come to mind. That's just my opinion. I don't now why everybody compares George Clooney to Cary Grant. Clooney is on record as having modeled his career after Tyrone Power, and I think there's a basic resemblance with the black Irish looks. I do agree with one poster who said there are a wide variety of men in films, they're not all "pretty," and I think that was pretty much always the case. As far as movie star sexuality, Errol Flynn liked underage girls. When he died, his girlfriend was 15 years old. That business with Tyrone Power is rumor only based on somebody's fantasy. Tyrone Power may have been bisexual, but he was crazy over women too. In fact, when he was making Jesse James and writing love letters to his fiancee, he had an affair with a local girl who was an extra in the movie and she became pregnant. As Lana Turner did during their affair.
