It is the day I devote to relaxing around my home with no obligations and spending quality time with my two big boys and their training sessions. We went out for a nice drive around the city a bit earlier just because they really love watching the bright lights as their faces blow in the wind. Now it's time to mix up a martini, fire up some My Name Is Earl episodes through Netflix ,and watch my boys wrestle like two wild wolves on the carpet in front of me. Love my Fridays...

Mellisa Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I spent most of my friday nights at home.Just because you are home and alone on a fri/sat night doesnt mean you dont have a life.I'm quite a home body so i dont find it hard at all...If you can be alone and dont feel loney,it means you are secure and you can enjoy your own company which is pretty good isnt it?You cant depend on others or external factors to make you feel good about yourself.Happiness must come from within.I'm single too by the way:).

That's true. But after being a homebody for 25 years, I'm starting to realize it's not so much by choice for me, which is slightly depressing... But, the pizza and alcohol make it bearable.

Hopefully I am not the only one around the globe ... I got my Vodka, my apple martini mix, and left over papa john's pizza from yesterday... watch out!!! LOL, hopefully I won't be doing any drunk texting, emailing, or posting, lol... What's everyone drinking tonight? BTW, I think it's not a good idea to be on a dating site on a Friday or Sat night, you want to atleast seem like you have a life . I just realized... nah, I'll make a new thread on "firsts", lol.. So let's here it... wait, it might still be day time where some of you are at, or it might be Saturday already .. Cheers nope.. you're not the only one but I'm at that age where I could care less if I'm home alone on a friday night. Besides, work kicked my butt today... got out later than I was supposed to and I was so tired by the time I got home I could barely pour me a glass of wine! but I finally managed... then I took a bath and now I'm going to read "The Help" for a bit (great book BTW) and call it a night. I got another 12 hour day at work tomorrow so yeah.. staying home and going to bed early seemed like the only option for me tonight! now the being single part? that's another story... wouldn't mind changing that!

When your best-friend is a fairly new addition to your list of friends (say, within the past year or so), is of the opposite sex, you spend all your free time with them, and manage to bring them up in every conversation...that's just...weird. Agree? Disagree? Where's the line into weirdness?

But i am visiting my home town. So stuck at the parentals.i wouldnt mind a quiet night alone at home right now, still recovering from the pyrometrics class i took yesterday.

Well, now it's Sat a.m., so I survived Fri night without a hitch. Don't you guys celebrate Halloween tonight? So, how are we doing? I got my pizza, my booze, and watching GoldenEye. Good times. Pizza was great! I had two apple martinis.... What happened was on the way home Friday, which I was not working, I had to run an errand in the part of town my ex g/f lives in, so had no choice of starting to think about her , before then I was at the hospital visiting a friend and saw a couple pretty nurses, then another pretty woman in the hall, the night before I was at Ikea and all I saw were couples ...THEN, back to "driving home Friday" I almost freaked out thinking, "WTF, I am going to be home tonight by myself on a FRIDAY night"... , which is not typical for me at all ... I ended up talking to this match woman, so that ate up some of my Friday night, but it kinda was not going nowhere, her voice was kinda coarse, she said she was married three times (wow!! lol), and it went more down hill when she said " I rather smoke a joint than have a drink" ... TMI on a first phone call, lol... so that was the end of that call, lol... It'll probably be worse tonight, it's Halloween , kids aren't with me this weekend, and no g/f to go out... I worry most about a relationship or g/f on holidays when one typically prefers to be with a SO... now we have halloween, thanksgiving, christmas, new years,.... so it will be worse, lol..

I'm feeling this 100! If I have plans on fri and sat cool. But if I don't I can still have a great weeekend. These days are classic cause when u get in a rel u may not get weekends to yourself
