My boyfriend tells me all of the time that he loves me, and I get plenty of affection, but being that I was in a relationship for 9 years before this one, and the other man would say "I love you".. and never meant it(he admitted it), how do I believe it?
Hopeful30 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 The other guy loved you. He wouldn't waste 9 years of his life if he didn't have strong feelings for you. The only reason he would say that is to make it easier to break up, or give you a reason to hate him so you don't hurt as much.

I always find it pertinent to judge people based on their actions and not their words. Think about the things that a person who is in love would do. If your boyfriend does this then he probably does mean what he says. Good luck.
